redbull coronacamp

Head of RedBull’s F1 driver development program, Dr. Helmut Marko, is known to be ruthless. To be clear, Dr. Marko is a doctor of law and not of medicine. And he prefers to be referred to as doctor.

While Mercedes F1 was helping develop a respiratory aid device for coronavirus patients, Marko suggested that all RedBull F1, AlphaTauri F1, and RedBull Junior development drivers gather to contract COVID-19. He added that the delay of the racing season was the perfect time for drivers to “get it over with”.

“The idea was to organise a camp where we could bridge this mentally and physically somewhat dead time.” “These are all strong young men in really good health. That way they would be prepared whenever the action starts. And you can be ready for what will probably be a very tough championship once it starts.”

You thought your boss was bad? I am pretty sure they have yet to suggest you live with your colleagues to contract a potentially deadly disease. Marko added:

“Let’s put it this way: it has not been well received.”

Stay safe. And stay away from cranky 76-year-old Austrian lawyers.
